This December meeting is always our annual end of the year holiday potluck. We started a little after 6 with a table full of amazing vegetarian and vegan dishes. There was a fresh green salad – all the greens straight from the winter garden, quiche, cabbage, butternut squash with toated nuts, soup, stew, potato gratin, veggie spring rolls with peanut sauce, bean chilli, rice salad, slaw salad, and more.
The dessert table had apple raspberry crumble, apple crumble, apple cake, squares and pumkin pie.
After this feast we shared the highlights from our favourite gardening book. We came away with plenty of ideas on how to pass a pleasant rainy winter day with a book.
