About Bonnie

Bonnie has loved insects ever since she was a child, spending hours searching for bugs in logs, ponds, and flowers. That love led her to a Bsc in Biology at UVic, and a career as a Integrated Pest Management consultant. Bonnie works with commercial farmers, helping them to identify and understand their insect pests, and guiding them to more ecologically sustainable pest management practices. She also works as a contractor on various insect species at risk projects on Vancouver Island, Hornby and Denman Islands. She lives and gardens in Fanny Bay, with her family, goats, sheep, and thousands of honey bees.
