
Dianne MacLean: Growing Food & Growing Community – Rotary B – 11:30 – 12:30
Bio: Dianne MacLean, (Bear Dreamer) is a Metis Storyteller, Environmental Educator, Community Net-Worker and Consultant. She has had varied background as a Registered Nurse, Wildcrafter, Metis Storyteller, and Herbalist. She has strong connections to the Aboriginal Community and is an internationally respected Elder. Diane has worked as a Community Net-worker for many organizations and non-profits.
She has traveled and taught in many diverse locations such as Findhorn – Scotland, Brighten Bush – Oregon, the Vancouver Museum and many indigenous Communities. She has been documented on CBC for wild crafting and has been a spokesperson for many Community Initiatives. She is currently employed by Dawn to Dawn: Action on Homelessness , as a coordinator of the Community Garden at 6th and Harmston in Courtenay.
