Our 14th annual Seedy Saturday was a great success again! Sow a Seed: Grow a Gardener netted almost $9,000 in revenues and goods which will allow the Comox Valley Growers and Seed Savers to continue and expand our education and outreach programming, increase support for the Comox Valley Seed Bank and plan for future projects.
800 attendees, 52 exhibitors, eight dynamic speakers, and 100 volunteers created a wonderful learning community for the day. Sharing information, goods, services and play, we came together to promote food security, organic and non-GMO growing, healthy soil and bio-diversity as well as preserving and conserving our seed heritage. Thank you!
You can be involved in this exciting work in between Seedy Saturdays by becoming a member, volunteering, saving your own seeds, attending our monthly meetings and other events and by joining the conversations at the web site and on our Facebook page. Stay in touch.
